Our Cape May Cares fundraiser held on Friday, October 11th at the Cape May Brewery, was dedicated to the scholarship program.
It was a great night for socializing and getting to know more about all our Cape May Cares programs. Thanks to the generosity of our incredible supporters, we are happy to report that Cape May Cares almost doubled our original fundraising goal by raising close to $25,000 that night.
These proceeds will be dedicated to continued financial help for our four past scholarship winners as well as to provide three new college and technical school scholarships (worth up to $5,000 each). These needs-based scholarships will be awarded in the spring of 2025 to Lower Cape May Regional High School seniors who have demonstrated academic excellence and dedication to community service.
Once again, Cape May Cares thanks the Cape May Brewery for providing the event space and every pint of beer as well as the Washington Inn for donating the delicious hors d’oeuvres and sandwiches. Our appreciation to the local businesses and artists who donated so many wonderful silent auction items which contributed to the success of the event.
