Get To Know Our Homework Squad Volunteers: Elaine Craig

As a community filled with many enthusiastic young people, Cape May Cares started up a Homework Squad to help students stay on track – and have fun! It’s volunteers like Elaine who keep us going!

Elaine Craig is a retired speech/language specialist who taught at the Cape May County Special Services for 35 years. She is an avid reader and movie buff. When she is not volunteering for Cape May Cares and other worthy non-profit local organizations, Elaine loves walking and riding her bike around Cape May.

Elaine has two amazing daughters — her eldest Maddie is also a teacher, specializing in math and now works at Cape May Tech High School while her youngest, Natalie, has taught English while traveling overseas and is currently growing her own dog-walking business while working at the family business, the Washington Inn.

We are so thankful for our Cape May Cares volunteers and community members!
