Macedonia Baptist Church Is Stepping Up to Help Cape May Families and Seniors!

“Tuesday Mornings with Macedonia” is a new endeavor spearheaded by Reverend Harris and his wife, Denise, along with Deacon Willie Hicks. This endeavor offers the opportunity for local residents in need to stop by the church’s kitchen to pick up breakfast sandwiches for their families.

This past Tuesday, senior residents from the Cape May Housing Authority were the first to benefit from this great program. Donations were also made to the Cape May Food Closet.

The church’s kitchen will be open every Tuesday morning from 10:30 until noon for pick-up. The Macedonian Baptist Church is located on 630 Lafayette Street, next to the Harriet Tubman Museum and Cape May Acme. Local residents are asked to come to the church’s kitchen by accessing the ground level side door (closest to the Acme) which leads to the basement kitchen.

Cape May Cares is always happy to help spread the word about good things happening in our community. We are grateful for the generosity of the Macedonia Baptist Church members and the leadership they are providing for our community. The church has also volunteered the use of its kitchen and meeting space for future Cape May Care events.

We look forward to working with Reverend and Mrs. Harris, Deacon Wille Hicks and other church volunteers on future projects geared to helping the teens and children of the Cape Housing Authority.
